Her upbringing in both the U.K. and the Netherlands are shown in her individual style of mix cultures.

Pleun learned her profession of styling at the Arts University of Bournemouth in the U.K. She graduated in Fashion Design & Marketing back in the nineties, which included subjects such as Design, Styling, Fashion photography, Marketing and Promotions.

After her study, Pleun started at Marie-Claire magazine. First at the Dutch one, but soon after she moved back to the U.K. to work at the English Marie-Claire. It was in London that she learned all about “PR & Styling”. She worked for eight years in London, as a Publicity Manager, Stylist and PR Manager at companies such as Laura Ashley International, Bhs, and the Arcadia Group, known for its fashion brands such as TopShop, TopMan, Racing Green, Principles, Dorothy Perkins, Evans and Burton Menswear.

At the Body Shop International, Pleun was Head of Global Public Relations and responsible for worldwide media- and visual communications strategy. She managed various teams and advised the Board of Directors on various issues.

She decided to settle down in the centre of the Netherlands when her children were born and started her own business back in 2007, focusing on the things she loves most; designing interiors and working with fabrics.

In 2016, she opened a creative workplace in an old furniture factory where she can invite her clients and hopefully inspire them with her ideas.
